MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS TIPS FOR QUARANTINE

Hello  I found these wonderful wellness tips from a  Psychologist in NYS with a Psy.D. in the specialities of School and Clinical Psychology.   MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS TIPS FOR QUARANTINE 1. Stick to a routine.    Go to sleep and wake up at a reasonable time, write a schedule that is varied and includes time for work as well as self-care. 2. Dress for the social life you want, not the social life you have.    Get showered and dressed in comfortable clothes, wash your face, brush your teeth.    Take the time to do a bath or a facial.    Put on some bright colors.    It is amazing how our dress can impact our mood. 3. Remind yourself not to judge our...

Pures College -Teaching the impact on Positive Words

Image
The exercise is to place a blank piece of paper on your back and write positive words about your classmates. Be anonymous and tell the person what you like about them. This is an ECE College Diploma I teach as a part-time ECE professor and this is my Autism Spectrum Disorder class. It’s the end of the summer semester and I wanted the students to leave knowing how positive words and actions have an affect on a child’s learning and overall development. Once we change the way we talk to ourselves and the way we talk to each other in a more positive, and encouraging way, we can accomplish so many more things.
